Major Update to Launch Plans

FOREWORD
Both this project and myself have gone through many changes over the years. As I neared the completion of Episode 1 it was obvious that what I had learned along the way had outpaced the quality of what I created. It was more than just the artist sitting back and being disgruntled with their own work. I knew that I had the ability know to do things better. So I took down the downloads and dove back into the game's storyline, fixing many of the flaws I had been too inexperienced to see before. The work I've done over the past several months has transformed this project into the game I wanted it to be and whatever happens from here on out, I feel I can take pride in my work.

The changes I made have definitely made the story richer and the world feel more lived in. This has also had the side effect of lengthening the gameplay by, well, a lot. Because of this, I've had to change how the episodes are structured and how each episode is released. The new Episode 1 will be released very soon and I intend for it to function as a solid demo or proof of concept. To be honest, I'm struggling to call it a "demo" because Episode 1 is easily 8-10 hours of gameplay. It is, however, the official Episode 1. Each episode is, in effect, simply an expansion. A player's save files will always carry over and there will always only be 1 game. As a solo indie developer, this seems like the most realistic way to approach a project of this overall size.

NOTABLE CHANGES
- New lighting effects added to certain areas
- A day/night cycle has been added that ties into NPC and monster spawning
- A year calendar has been added that is benign in Episode 1 but will be relevant later
- Combat overhauled to include Party Formations and a simple Threat system based on damage and healing done
- New characters added
- A better and more integrated intro/tutorial
- New skills, new monsters, new treasures

This project will eventually go commercial. I really appreciate the folks that have supported me along the way with their downloads, plays, and follows. As time goes by, I will try to keep track of the people who helped motivate me with that support. Thank you! o/
